How to Focus and Open a Stream of Success

To have more gold (value) at the end of the month, we must mine like a pro. We can use the power of focus to achieve our goals.
Most people understand the analogy of laser focus. We understand that a laser is a specific type of light that is highly concentrated and can cut through physical objects with ease. In a similar way if we focus our action we can achieve a powerful result (get more gold).
These are the key elements of focus.
One Activity
Choose your most valuable producing activity. Exclude every activity but the main thing.
Highest Priority
We can have many value producing activities. However, to get the laser effect we must work on the activity that is the highest priority.
For example we could take three activities of a writer: find publisher, do research, write book. Out of these three activities, one is crucial. Write the book! If you don't write the book, the other two valuable activities are pointless.
Dedicate Time
Dedicate a specific amount of time to execute 100% on this activity. Try to dedicate a specific start time each day and hold to it.
A rule of thumb is that human beings can only intensely focus a few hours at a time usually three or four hours a day. Use these three or four hours each day to do your number one priority activity. Then, you have the rest of the day to check email, return phone calls, do research, or do a fun task.
Repeat Daily
Repeat daily until the most valuable activity is completed. Then focus on the next priority.
Finally
There will be many distractions you will be tempted with during this time of focus. I will leave it to you to figure out how to avoid your favorite distractions.
However, there is one thing to consider if we are constantly distracted and unable to focus. That is, we don't have a compelling enough dream or our dream is not truly aligned with our purpose. We can't force a dream to happen if it doesn't have enough power to motivate us. A dream must have the power to motivate us through distractions and difficult times. Our goal is not 100% perfection. Our goal is to keep moving forward. And that means when we fall down we have a dream powerful enough that we choose to get back on our feet.
