The Mind of Success Increases in Value

The mind of success always looks for value and adds value to all that is created. The mind of success always seeks wisdom. The mind of success is generous.

All these things Work together to make us a person of value.

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying "Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value. He is considered successful in our day who gets more out of life than he puts in. But a man of value will give more than he receives." -Einstein

This quote appeared in the May 2, 1955 issue of "LIFE".

I believe Albert Einstein was quite successful. I believe most people would say so. However Einstein used a negative definition of success that is a more fitting description as a person of greed. He uses the phrase "in our day" which suggests he is referring to society's definition of success.

Success does not equal greed. Success is becoming a person of value, which is right inline with Einstein's philosophy of life.

Having addressed the better definition of success, how does Einstein define "person of value?"

"But a man of value will give more than he receives." -Einstein

But how is it possible to give more than you receive? We give where we have abundance. We give knowledge, wisdom, counsel, love, hope, and encouragement. These are the things of value. When we acquire these things there is no limit to how much we can give them!

Success is becoming a person of value.
